Cornelius Library Foundation

Celebrating the ribbon cutting opening the new library

"Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference." -Kathy Calvin

The Cornelius Library Foundation's mission is to fundraise and advocate for the library to expand community outreach and partnerships, support new programs, and foster digital equity.

The Foundation encourages gifts, bequests, memorials, and other monetary donations that support the Cornelius Library. Grants are also an important source of funds for special library projects that often require multiple government and non-profit partners.

Completed projects include:

  • $5.7 million for the new library, opened in March 2019.
  • 30 Wi-Fi hotpots for the community to borrow and take home, available since June 2020.
  • $12,500 for a 1-year, part-time contract for an Information Technology Professional, beginning June 2019.
  • Special library celebrations and fundraisers. (Library Grand Opening, anniversary, dedications, etc.)
